Embodied Openness

With the company of artists and performers, we explored two specific questions during a creative walk/workshop (entitled Movement Forum) organised by Theatrum Mundi on September 2021. The questions were: "How can gender-based power dynamics, abstract and incarnated, be revealed and resisted? By what strategies can public spaces as civic infrastructure be de- or re-gendered?"

Here, in their Encounter Edition, I reflected on my performative walk which was based on the embodiment of openness within the masculine, rough and rigid built environment of Barbican.
